Continued from ThunderClan Territories, "An Adventure".
Sparrowheart waited outside the medicine den while Flowercloud and Cinderpaw where trying to find out exactly how bad Twokit was. She ad fallen into a freezing river and came out half-drown. She awoke with what Sparrowheart thought to be a fever. Although her ordeal would not cause such a symptom. When he had last left Twokit - quite reluctantly - it was midnight and Twokit was just waking up. He fought to stay in the medicine Den with her but got forced out by Darkmoon. He couldn't stop wondering how Twokit was doing. He sighed and lay down, head on his paws, warming up in the morning sun, waiting for news from one of the cats.

I quickly ran to the herb store, and pulled out all the neccessary herbs, and returned to Twokit to see Flowercloud vigorously licking the young kit, who stirred feebly. I joined in with the licking, and soon Twokit reawakened enough to take some of the herbs, and I glanced to Flowercoud for instructions on the order of which to give Twokit the herbs.

Flowercloud looked at Cinderpaw who was waiting for instructions. "Give her the borage leaves," She felt heat pulsing out of Twokit. "she has a fever. A dip in a freezing river wouldn't cause this much heat. Her immune system weakened dramatically. So, she must have caught a virus while she walked back to camp." She checked over Twokit while Cinderpaw did as she was told. She felt Twokit trembling and her breathing became shallow. Flowercloud's eyes widened as she saaw Twokit's side slightly rising and falling. "Give her some colts foot, her breathing is irregular. Maybe combine some feverfew and lavender, she has the chills." Right then her tail swept over the prepared herbs, mixing them. "Fox dung!" She and Cinderpaw tried to re-sort them but neither of them noticed when some tansy and ginger root got pushed into the poltice. Once almost everything was cleaned up, Flowercloud gave the sleepy kit the medicine she needed. Eventually Twokit fell into a steady sleep and Flowercloud turned to Cinderpaw. "Go get yourself something to eat and get some rest.Oh, and while your at it, inform Sparrowfeather about Twokit's progress. And that's an order."

I quickly did everything I was told, then padded out of the den towards Sparrowheart, who glanced anxiously meor news on Twokit. I dipped my head respectfully and mewed,"Twokit's condition is stable at the moment, we've given her borage for the fever she worked up on her way back to camp & coltsfoot combined with a bit of feverfew and lavender to steady her breathing. She caight a virus on her way back to camp, but she's asleep right now, and her condition seems stable." I, uh, forgot to mention the incident of the spilling herbs, and the possibility she might have been treated with something that she didn't need just yet, ;D and padded over to the fresh kill pile to pick out a vole.

I turned from the fresh kill pile and dropped my vole before mewing, "Okay, but be quick, Twokit's tired right now, and try not to get in Flowercloud's way, and try not to stay til midnight this time." I watched him slink into the fern tunnel before crouching to eat my vole.

Eaglepaw padded into the camp. HE was carrying his large catch to the fresh-kill pile when he spotted Cinderpaw. His pelt prickled as he looked at her shining eyes and her glistening pelt. He couldn't help but feel a sanse of admiration for the younger apprentice. His mentor, Darkmoon told him that he was going to become a warrior in the next moon and he couldn't wait to hear his warrior name. As well as take on all of the responsibilities. He knew it was wrong to love her, especially since she was a medicine apprentice, but he couldn't help it. Her voice was sweet, with a hint of wildflowers and her eyes sparkled. But, when she looked up at him, he felt warm and safe. "Hi, Cinderpaw!" he mewed.
(Cinderpaw doesn't know about him liking her. She can't have an idea at all.)

"hey Eaglepaw," I called back, "Nice catch, that oughtta get the elders to stop complaining for a while!" I padded over towards him. "did you hear about Twokit, i'm sure you did, thw whole clan's talking about it"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As I've said before, according to that warriors field guide book thing, there's nothing against medicine cats or female leaders having kits, so technically, it's not against the Warriors Code, and can the clans really change what the first leaders decided? when did that become a law?

Eaglepaw's pelt prickled as the apprentice's pelt brushed his. "Yeah I heard abbout her," He looked down at his paws, "she's almost like my little sister." When his eyes met her's, a lump rose in his throat. Ever since his father resqued the little scrap, she's been the closest thing to a little sister that an only kit could have.

"Oh yeah, I'm real sorry about that, but she should be fine." I noticed Eaglepaw look at me hopefully, and hastily added, "Flowercloud can't make any promises yet, she has a virus, due to a weakened immune system, and which caused a fever. And her breathing is irregular, but Flowercloud thinks there's a chance she'll recover, and we're doing all we can." I didn't know why I was blabbering on and on about this stuff, but something about the look Eaglepaw was giving me was just making me feel so...

Eaglepaw nodded his thanks to her. He slowly walked past her, letting their pelts brush and tails twine. He purred at the warm feeling coming from her. He hoped that warm feeling meant she liked him. He quickly padded into the apprentice's den to get some rest so he could go out on the dusk patrol, alert and ready. __________________________________________________
Twokit slowly opened her eyes. What had happened to her? The last thing she could remember, she was walking back to camp, and then blackness. Her paws felt kinda heavy, but overall she felt strong enough to stand up, but decided only the lay down and continue sleeping.

Cinderpaw should be in "Panic in Camp". Everything is going good enough with Twokit.
